General Rules
- Silence must be maintained inside the library at all times.
- Users must carry their valid College ID Card while using Library services.
- Food and beverages are strictly prohibited inside the library.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the library premises.
- Mobile phones must be kept on silent mode inside the library.
- Bags and personal belongings must be kept at the designated baggage counter, wherever applicable.
- Students and other users must follow the instructions of the library staff.
- Library resources and facilities must be used with care and responsibility.
Borrowing Rules
- Books may be issued only against a valid Library Membership/College ID Card.
- Each student may borrow one book at a time.
- Books are issued for a specified period of 5 days.
- Borrowed books must be returned or renewed on or before the due date.
- Reference books, journals, magazines, and rare books are not available for home lending, unless otherwise permitted by the Librarian.
- Borrowers are responsible for the books issued to them until the books are returned to the library.
Late Return & Fine Policy
- A fine of ₹5 per day will be charged for overdue books, including Sundays and holidays.
- Failure to pay outstanding fines may result in the suspension of borrowing privileges.
- Students are responsible for keeping track of the due date of borrowed books.
Loss or Damage of Books
- Borrowers are responsible for the books issued in their name.
- Lost books must be replaced with the same edition, wherever possible, or as directed by the Librarian.
- Damaged books may be subject to repair or replacement charges, as applicable.
- Writing, highlighting, underlining, folding pages, or making any marks in Library books is strictly prohibited.
- Users must handle Library resources carefully and responsibly.
Digital Library Usage
- Digital resources and online databases are provided strictly for academic, educational, and research purposes.
- Unauthorized copying, distribution, sharing, or downloading of copyrighted material is prohibited.
- Users must comply with the terms and conditions of use, software requirements, and licensing agreements of the respective databases and digital resources.
- Login credentials, wherever provided, must not be shared with unauthorized persons.
Disciplinary Actions
- Violation of Library rules may result in the suspension of Library privileges.
- Serious misconduct or repeated violations may be reported to the College Administration for appropriate action.
- The Librarian’s decision in matters relating to Library administration and discipline shall be final, subject to the rules and policies of the College.
